URL Bar Analyzer is a Chrome extension that shows you the path and query parameters of the currently active browser tab's URL, and lets you edit those query parameters and navigate the tab to the resulting URL.

1. What Data We Collect:

URL Bar Analyzer does not collect, store, or share any personal data or user-related information with us or any third party. The extension's analysis logic runs entirely locally in your browser.

2. Data Accessed by the Extension:

When you open the extension's popup, URL Bar Analyzer reads the full URL (path and query parameters) of the currently active browser tab, using Chrome's activeTab permission. This is the only permission the extension requests; it does not have access to your browsing history, other open tabs, or tabs you have not actively opened the popup on.

This data is read only while the popup is open, is not transmitted to us or any third party, and is not stored or recorded anywhere — neither by the extension nor by us.

3. Use of Data:

The URL data accessed is used solely to display the path and query parameters within the popup. If you edit a query parameter's value and click "Apply to tab," the extension uses chrome.tabs.update to navigate the active tab to the resulting URL — this happens entirely on your device, is triggered only by your explicit action, and does not send any data to us or any third party.

4. Third-Party Resources

The popup loads the "Roboto Mono" font from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). This causes your browser to make a direct request to Google's servers whenever the popup is opened, which may transmit your IP address and browser information to Google. This is unrelated to and separate from the URL data described above; it is subject to Google's own privacy policy. We do not control or receive this data.

Security:

As URL Bar Analyzer does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data, there is minimal risk of data breaches or security threats related to the extension itself.
